Amethystos means ‘not drunk’ in ancient Greek. Believing you could drink all night and remain sober, if you had amethyst in your mouth or on yourself.
It’s purple colours represent purity of spirit. Aiding the healing of all wounds.
Amethyst is a busy stone. A stone that you can reach for in many different situations. It’s a stone for Pisceans.
About 20 years ago, a Amethyst Geode was the first stone I heard, speak to me, saying Í’m here to help you’. I thought wow. How good was that.
Amethyst forms completely different to say Rose Quartz. Like in clusters, points, geodes. There are also huge variations in quality.
Slow down and sit down.
Amethyst is a very kind, calm, supportive, homely stone supporting all our levels. You can feel yourself slow down and sit down.
When I sat with my piece I could feel my heart opening. Afterwards I felt teary and I knew something shifted. I could feel it’s strength protecting me. After a while I really felt ‘the attitude of gratitude’. We all shift, feel differently. There is no right or wrong.
